Annual GNH Youth Leadership Workshop

The GNH Youth Leadership Program (GYLP) is a 10 day workshop(15-25 January 2018) designed for the national youths from various colleges of Bhutan. The annual GYLP is a leadership workshop that is intended to groom, guide and make participants realize their potential as future leaders. The workshop is participatory, promotes dialogue and a key objective is to deepen the practical understanding of GNH values along with compassion and wisdom. The participants will also be exposed to the conditions pertaining to employment and leadership.  The programme will promote the traditional and cultural knowledge and skills as per the values of Driglam Namzha.


The GNH Fair is an annual event to commemorate the birth anniversary of the Father of GNH, His Majesty Drugyal Zhipa Jigme Singye Wangchuck and the National Happiness Day. It is led by the Gross National Happiness Centre Bhutan (GNH Centre Bhutan) to promote GNH values, and to connect the Bhutanese people to GNH as envisioned by His Majesty Jigme Singye wangchuck.


The GNHCB aims to work with schools in the country to promote values through events. The main activities will include establishing Happy Clubs in schools and institutions, leading to youth ambassadors of GNH. It is a national campaign led by the GNHCB to connect people from all walks of life to GNH values and encourage social dialogue. The event includes a variety of activities advocating wellbeing and happiness.


GNH YOUTH - An annual event based on leadership and mindfulness exploration is to deepen the practical understanding of how we can cultivate GNH in living practices along with compassion and wisdom to our personal lives and the communities we live in. The programme is customized in a manner that encourages participatory fun based activities along with discovering contentment and happiness.
